On Wednesday, the 19th of November, the First Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, Oleksandr Lavrynovych has held the meeting with the Deputy of German Bundestag, Chairman of the Selective Committee of the Training in German Parliament "International Parliamentary Scholarship", Bernd Shelen.

Oleksandr Lavrynovych deems that "International Parliamentary Scholarship" that Mr. Shelen has guardian of is one of the constituents on the path of strengthening of relations between two countries.

During the meeting Lavrynovych has commented upon the internal political situation in Ukraine. He declared that "difficulties that Ukraine is coming through now are peculiar for all the countries that have chosen the democratic course in development". "Now there are many lessons for the Ukrainian politicians, that must search for the cooperation for the sake of society and must shake hands with the politic opponents", - The First Vice-Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine stressed.

Nevertheless, O. Lavrynovych assured that the internal political situation in Ukraine "is sure not to make the investment climate in Ukraine worse". Partial decrease in income of German companies is connected with the world crisis. "Despite the situation in the Parliament, The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine had assumed the measures to lesser the consequences of the world crisis in Banking sphere of Ukraine", - he said. Still, the world crisis tendencies become obvious in main spheres of economics and stressed that Ukraine is interested in the growth of the demand for the Ukrainian goods.

B. Shelen confirmed that "Ukraine and Germany have common problems connected with the world finance crisis", consequently, he said "their solution also should be common". The representative of Bundestag has assured O.Lavrynovych that German Parliament is support new politic impulses in Ukrainian-German interparliamentary relations and he hopes that "International Parliamentary Scholarship" will become more effective for the development of the Parliamentarism in both countries.

Hans-Jurgen Heimsoeth, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Germany to Ukraine has also taken part in the meeting.
